The all-new Ford F-150 Lightning is coming soon, but you don’t have to wait to see what this all-electric truck would look like in your driveway. Just use the F-150 Lightning: Strike Anywhere augmented reality experience and you can interact with the latest Ford truck in a 3D space.
Ford launched the new Strike Anywhere 3D experience to show drivers why the 2022 F-150 Lightning is something special. When you use the app on your Android or iOS mobile device or through the Ford website, you can see 13 of the coolest features of the F-150 Lightning. You can also customize your ideal truck down to the detail to better visualize what you want.
“At Ford, we want to show, not just tell since we believe educating customers on the full potential and capabilities of electric vehicles helps them make the transition from traditionally powered vehicles to all-electric ones,” said Ford Chief Marketing Officer Suzy Deering.
The Ford F-150 Lightning is a game-changing truck that’s taking off with drivers of all different types. Deering says that nearly 80 percent of the 200,000 F-150 Lightning reservation holders have never owned an electric vehicle before, so it’s clear that Ford has struck a nerve and sparked a change in the way drivers think.
For the time being, the Ford F-150 Lightning: Strike Anywhere experience will be your best opportunity to experience the truck up close. The real deal won’t arrive at Pegues Hurst Ford in Longview, Texas, until spring 2022.
The truck has proven so popular thus far that the first run is already sold out. But you can learn more about the truck through the app or the experts at Pegues Hurst and sign up for updates so that you’re one of the next to stake your spot in the electric revolution.
