The Ford Expedition is one of the most popular full-size SUVs in America. But the brand knows that drivers want more when it’s time to take the Expedition off-road. To make the SUV more powerful, Ford has introduced the 2022 Expedition Timberline.
“Timberline sets a new standard with full-size SUV customers who need more passenger space, great off-road capability and a basecamp for life’s journeys,” said Mike Kipley, Ford Expedition chief engineer.
Much like the Explorer, the Timberline features elevate the SUV to a whole new level of capability. The Expedition Timberline offers best available ground clearance of 10.6 inches, an F-150 Raptor underbody, and best available power in its class. Not only that, but the Expedition Timberline’s high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost® engine outperforms one of the SUV’s top competition, the Jeep Wrangler, by offering 48 additional horsepower and 106 more lb-ft of torque.
It’s not just brawn with the Expedition Timberline. The new SUV is exceptionally smart thanks to new SYNC® connectivity, Ford BlueCruise, and Ford Power-Up over-the-air software. With Ford BlueCruise Driver-Assist Technology, the driver can operate the Expedition Timberline hands-free on the highway in Hands-Free Blue Zones.
The 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline is expected to go on sale in the early part of next year. Stay tuned and contact our team at Pegues Hurst Ford in Longview, Texas, for more details.
