New 2020 Bronco Design Rumored to Have Removable Doors

The Ford Bronco is back and better than ever. For the 2020 model year, Ford is building on the legacy of one of its most iconic SUVs.

The 2020 Bronco design will feature a striking, adventure-ready exterior, a powerful engine, and the latest high-tech features. Plus, the new Bronco may have a removable-door design, which means you can open up the cabin like never before.

According to AutoGuide, Ford recently filed a patent for a new Bronco design with removable doors, including intelligent safety systems like a collapsible rod to provide protection even if the doors are taken off. While few details are confirmed about what exactly the 2020 Bronco looks like, a removable-door design will certainly appeal to off-road enthusiasts.

The Bronco will also likely come with the 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine found on the Ranger model, as well as a 10-speed automatic transmission with a two-speed transfer case.

“The Ford Bronco is back by popular demand. The iconic SUV was one of the world’s leading 4×4 vehicles for three decades, from the mid-sixties until the mid-nineties,” states Ford in a press release. “This new generation Bronco boasts the latest in smart technology and a bold new look while remaining true to its rugged roots.”

The Bronco, which was first introduced in 1965, was taken out of the lineup in 1996. However, the 2020 model promises to bring back the unforgettable durability and design. We look forward to having it at Pegues Hurst Ford for you to buy.
